About the Role

Join our dynamic Network Operations Center (NOC) team in Abu Dhabi as a Network & Security Engineer. You will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and securing critical network infrastructure in a 24×7 environment. This role requires hands-on expertise in Cisco routing, Palo Alto firewalls, and VPN configuration to ensure optimal performance and resilience of our network services.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls in a NOC environment
  • Configure, manage, and optimize Cisco routing protocols and device configurations
  • Implement and maintain Palo Alto firewall policies, NAT rules, and security profiles
  • Design, deploy, and troubleshoot VPN solutions (IPSec, SSL) for site-to-site and remote access
  • Respond to and resolve network and security incidents, escalating as needed
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support network projects and changes
  • Document network configurations, procedures, and topology diagrams
  • Participate in change management and maintenance windows to minimize service disruptions

Skills

Required Qualifications

  • 5–10 years of hands-on experience in network and security engineering or NOC operations
  • Expertise in Cisco routing and switching technologies (e.g., OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, IOS, IOS-XE)
  • Proficiency in Palo Alto firewall configuration and policy management
  • Solid experience with VPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault-isolation skills in complex network environments
  • Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios)
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team-collaboration skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent Cisco certification
  • Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE)
  • Experience with cloud networking and security in AWS or Azure
  • Scripting or automation skills (Python, Bash)
  • ITIL Foundation or other IT service management certification
  • Familiarity with intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS)
