This includes managing systems such as piping, rotating equipment, HVAC, and structural components to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety codes, and project schedules. The role involves close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to review technical documents, assess risks, and resolve design or installation challenges effectively. The Project Engineer coordinates with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure the timely procurement, delivery, and integration of mechanical components. They track project milestones, prepare progress reports, and maintain adherence to quality assurance and safety protocols. Strong project management skills, technical expertise, and effective communication are essential to delivering high-performance and efficient mechanical systems that meet project objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, design, and execute mechanical engineering aspects of complex projects, including piping, rotating equipment, HVAC, and structural components.
  • Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure procurement, delivery, and integration of mechanical components on time.
  • Review technical documents, assess risks, and resolve design or installation challenges with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Track project milestones and prepare progress reports, maintaining adherence to QA and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical project engineering (piping, rotating equipment, HVAC)
  • Strong knowledge of relevant design codes, safety standards, and QA/QC processes
  • Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams
  • Proficiency in project management tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, etc.)
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills
  • Experience in vendor management and procurement processes
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification preferred
