Overview

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor with experience in MEP projects to join our team. The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for managing all costs relating to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing projects and ensuring that the projects are completed within budget.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
• Evaluate tenders from contractors and subcontractors.
• Monitor and control costs during the project lifecycle.
• Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure cost-effective solutions.
• Track variations in the project scope and adjust budgets accordingly.
• Prepare and submit valuations, claims, and final accounts.
• Provide financial advice on the impact of design decisions.
• Maintain accurate records of quantities and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in MEP projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction practices and techniques.
• Familiarity with relevant software such as CostX or Bluebeam.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Professional certification (e.g., RICS) is a plus.
