Overview

Urgent Hiring. Principal for a Primary School (Fs1Year7). Candidate must be qualified and experienced for the role. KHDA approval is mandatory.

Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Development: Supervising curriculum outlines in collaboration with the curriculum coordinator.

  • Curriculum Development: Curriculum supervision needs to ensure that the curriculum is mapped to include cross-curricular links.

  • Curriculum Development: Effective upward spiraling of the curriculum (Scope and Sequence).

  • Curriculum Development: Modified to include provisions for SEND students/Emirati Students.

  • Curriculum Development: Selecting curriculum related resources as aligned with the state standards.

  • Curriculum Development: Liaising with KHDA for legislative requirements.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Consults with the PD coordinator in drafting the annual professional development plan.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Reviews the PD plan to ensure effective provisions of training opportunities as required by the teachers.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Supervises class observation schedules.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Monitors the implementation of the PD plan.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Supervises staff performance management in collaboration with the PD coordinator.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Evaluating teachers performance and target setting.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Consults with head of school team leaders in staff continuation of services.

  • Supervising Staff Professional Development and Performance: Updates principal of staff performance.

  • Pastoral Care: Regulating class lists in consultation with the registrar heads of school to ensure that classes are grouped dynamically with abilities and gender balanced.

  • Pastoral Care: Ensures that health and safety is maintained as per the health and safety policies.

  • Pastoral Care: Meets regularly with supervisors and heads of school in reviewing supervision duties to maximize safety.

  • Pastoral Care: Ensures that foods and beverages served by school cafeteria are of high standards as per the health and safety expectations from DHA.

  • Pastoral Care: Drafting behavior health and safety policies.

  • Pastoral Care: Supervises meetings with parents teachers and heads of school in regards to behavior or academic challenges.

  • Pastoral Care: Collaborating with services manager in school in planning and ensuring cleaning of the premises are of high standards.

  • Extra Curricular Activities: Supervising assembly plans ensuring that they are linked to relevant topics, culture-appropriate and in alignment to school vision, mission and core values.

  • Extra Curricular Activities: Planning extra curricular activities that are aligned to the core values.

  • Extra Curricular Activities: Supervising planning of trips ensuring that trips are an extended learning opportunity linked to the topics or concepts taught in class.

  • Extra Curricular Activities: Plans concerts with heads of school team leaders.

  • Member of the PTA (Parent Teacher Association): PTA meetings.

  • Member of the PTA: Ensures that confidentiality is maintained and reports meeting minutes to the Principal.

  • Member of the PTA: Collaborates with the PRE (Parents relation Executive) in effective communication between parents and teachers.

  • Member of the PTA: Follow up parental concerns in regards to behavior and academics.

  • Recruitment: Shortlisting potential candidates.

  • Recruitment: Supervises the panel of interviewers in the recruiting process.

  • Recruitment: Monitoring the orientation and induction process for newly recruited staff in collaboration with team leaders and head of schools.

  • Finances: Assisting the financial executive in drafting the annual budget plan.

  • Finances: Regulating requisitions made for purchases of classroom resources.

  • Finances: Approving requisitions made for extracurricular activities. (concerts ASA assemblies)

  • Finances: Assisting in Record Keeping: assists in completion of records and reports and in the supervision and inventory of necessary supplies, textbooks, equipment and materials.
