Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience in acoustic design and simulation on consumer electronic products.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience including leading acoustic design and simulation for consumer electronics.
- Experience with acoustic test tools (e.g., SoundCheck, Klippel, Audio Precision, Polytec, etc.) and simulation tools (e.g., Abaqus, COMSOL, Ares, etc.).
- Experience in shipping end-to-end acoustic solutions, from product concept through production.
- Experience leading acoustic solutions for mobile phone, wearable, or hearable products.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills, including translating technical tradeoffs to customer impact, influencing product decisions, navigating and resolving ambiguity.

Responsibilities
- Lead wearables acoustic architecture design and simulation.
- Define optimized micro-speaker integration and microphone porting guidelines, including wind noise mitigation.
- Conduct acoustic simulations (lumped sum and finite element methods) and lab testing of acoustic modules and products to validate performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional design, engineering, product, operations teams to achieve acoustic solutions balancing ambitious performance, space, cost, and user experience goals.
- Collaborate with vendors and technology partners to scope new components and technologies.
