Join Level Shoes as a Senior Android Engineer to modernize their app on a 6-12 month contract. Requires 5+ years experience, Kotlin, CI/CD knowledge. Location: Dubai HQ.

About The Role

We are hiring a Senior Android Engineer to join the Level Shoes engineering team on a 6-12 month contract (with potential for a permanent role). You will play a key role in modernizing our Android app, ensuring smooth performance, stability, and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Enhance and maintain the Level Shoes Android app (Kotlin, Jetpack Compose).
  2. Work on performance optimizations, caching, offline support, and user experience improvements.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build new features and integrations.
  4. Manage CI/CD pipelines and ensure high-quality releases.

Must-Have Skills

  1. 5+ years of Android development experience (Java & Kotlin).
  2. Expertise in Kotlin Coroutines, MVVM/MVI, Jetpack Compose, and Firebase.
  3. Strong knowledge of threading, caching, and performance optimization.
  4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
  5. Familiarity with Google’s Material Design and Android Studio.

Nice-to-Have

  1. Experience in e-commerce app development.
  2. Prior experience migrating large legacy codebases.
  3. Familiarity with Gerrit and Media3 video library.

Location: Dubai HQ (onsite; relocation support available).
Contract: 6-12 months, potential for permanent hire.
