Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Business, Supply Chain, Law or Legal Studies, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in program or project management.
- 8 years of technical program management experience, with a focus on infrastructure, construction, data center projects or legal aspects related to these fields.
- 7 years of experience in construction contracting, including leading negotiations, drafting agreements, and managing contracts with GCs and developers.
- Experience with data center construction life-cycles, and the key delivery dependencies related to site development and offsite infrastructure delivery works.
Preferred qualifications:
- Juris Doctor degree or Master’s degree in a relevant technical or business field (e.g., MBA, MS Contracts).
- Certification in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PgMP), paralegal, or a related contract management certification.
- Proficiency with construction agreement law, various standard agreement types, and contracting best practices in the infrastructure or mission-critical facility space.
- Proven ability to work with and influence executive-level stakeholders and cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Finance, Engineering) without direct authority.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.

All user-facing online services are supported by a global network of data centers. The Infrastructure Construction and Asset Management (ICAM) team, a component of the broader Google Infrastructure and Energy (GIE), is dedicated to addressing customer business issues by delivering global infrastructure and resource solutions that support these data centers.
Within the Data Center Acquisitions and Development team, ICAM is responsible for overseeing Google’s off-site infrastructure, inventory land, and both leased and owned data center assets. This includes ensuring the secure, timely, and budget-compliant construction and delivery of off-site infrastructure projects, robust administration and management of leased obligations, and compliant management of inventory properties. ICAM safeguards Google’s capacity rights through stringent asset management and financial compliance, while also developing and upholding contractual standards and tools to protect Google’s operational interests. Comprehensive asset management is vital for maintaining Google’s global operational capacity, business continuity, and financial stability.

Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end contracting for Developer/GC/Architect agreements. This includes commercial strategy development, term drafting, and negotiating with third-parties in collaboration with Engineering to align commercial needs with the technical strategy.
- Manage program risks (contract adherence, schedule, cost), reporting to executive leadership to resolve critical path dependencies.
- Drive operational transformation by expanding from a traditional self-development model to a repeatable developer delivery model. This entails establishing performance KPIs and implementing a continuous improvement loop for contract execution across the datacenter portfolio.
- Act as the central nexus for alignment between technical teams, third-party vendors, and internal business stakeholders to ensure successful program outcomes.
- Standardize Developer Build Program contracts with Acquisition, Engineering, Legal, and Finance, integrating technical requirements, budget guardrails, and delivery milestones for compliance and feasibility.
