Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Technical Lead to drive the design, delivery, and engineering excellence of their next-generation technology platforms. This role sits at the intersection of architecture, engineering leadership, and execution , requiring a hands‑on leader who can define technical direction, guide teams, and ensure the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance systems. You will work closely with Product, AI/ML, and senior stakeholders to bring complex solutions to life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Strategy & Architecture
    • Define and own the end-to-end system architecture for scalable, secure, and high-performance platforms
    • Lead technical design reviews and align teams with long-term engineering vision
    • Establish and enforce best practices in software design, coding standards, and system reliability
    • Evaluate emerging technologies and make build vs. buy decisions
    • Identify opportunities to leverage modern tools and automation within the development lifecycle
  • Engineering Leadership
    • Lead, mentor, and develop high-performing engineering teams across multiple levels
    • Provide technical direction across multiple squads or product teams
    • Establish strong engineering practices including code reviews, quality benchmarks, and standards
    • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of engineering talent
  • Delivery & Execution
    • Translate business requirements into technical solutions and execution plans
    • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions within defined scope
    • Partner with Product teams on roadmap planning and technical feasibility assessments
    • Identify and manage technical risks, dependencies, and constraints
  • Operational Excellence
    • Oversee system performance, monitoring, logging, and reliability
    • Collaborate with DevOps/DevSecOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automation, and security best practices
    • Optimize engineering productivity through tools, frameworks, and process improvements
    • Drive efficient and outcome-focused release management practices
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Work closely with AI/ML teams to integrate advanced features into products
    • Align architectural layers across frontend, backend, and data systems
    • Communicate technical decisions, trade-offs, and solutions clearly to stakeholders

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3–5+ years in a technical leadership or architecture role
  • Strong experience building scalable backend systems (e.g., Python or similar technologies)
  • Hands‑on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, APIs, and databases (SQL & NoSQL)
  • Proven ability to lead code quality, design reviews, and engineering best practices
  • Experience working on AI/ML-powered applications or data-driven systems
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working on enterprise‑scale or government‑grade systems
  • Familiarity with security, compliance, and data privacy frameworks
  • Experience in high-growth, startup, or fast‑paced environments
