JOB PURPOSE

Manage overall delivery of individual property developments & infrastructure projects, while ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, quality, HSE standards.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage project team and ensure project is completed as per the budget, schedule and quality standards and all contractual requirements are met
  • Coordinate activities of contractors / PMC, monitor performance, hold periodic meetings and schedule periodic on‑site visits to verify status
  • Review, expand and refine initial high‑level plan and budget developed by Project Control during feasibility phase and review against project schedule and budget
  • Ensure project is progressing according to plan and generate progress reports with the support of Project Control
  • Liaise with Procurement to ensure that all contracts required to complete the project are in place and provide input on project scoping effort
  • Provide input into project design phase if and when required
  • Identify budget and schedule deviations, issues and risks, assess impact and define action plans in coordination with Planning & Control and seek Project Director approval
  • Liaise with Design to assess and address design issues (i.e. change orders)
  • Follow‑up with Government Relations/PMC to obtain required permits and licenses
  • Proactively discourage variations and mitigate cost and schedule impact and review
  • Manage all constructability issues and liaise with relevant parties to address them
  • Ensure onsite filing, control and maintenance of project design and execution documents
  • Manage project contracts and ensure project compliance with terms and conditions
  • Perform final handover to asset operator
  • Ensure project abides by HSE policies and guidelines
  • Suggest and implement modifications to project scope, deliverables, timelines and resources.
  • Perform project close out and obtain stakeholders approvals

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

RELATED YEAR OF EXPERIENCE: Min of 12+ experience in PM, with at least 5 years in senior project oversight position

YOE IN MANAGERIAL POSITION: Min of 4+ years in a related managerial position

FIELD OF EXPERIENCE

  • Proven experience of managing construction for developments with CAPEX >1billion AED.
  • Knowledge and exposure to the GCC real estate market
  • Proven expertise in contractor management

TECHNICAL AND INTERPERSONAL SKILLS

  • HSE champion with a proven track record
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Full understanding of construction industry and all related technical components
  • Identify risks by implementing Risk management plan in terms of quantifying risk, managing and monitor/mitigate risks issues
  • Ability in implementing and monitoring QA/QC
  • Capable of managing project timelines, costs, and prioritize project tasks
  • Ability to implement project plans to execute project deliverables and monitor/control the same
  • Ability to manage small teams of at least 5 people
  • Ability to manage more than one project at a time; plan & execute as per project schedule/budget
  • Strong conflict resolution and management skills for resolving conflicts on the field
  • Ability to plan, execute and manage tasks as per project schedule and budget

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor degree in civil engineering, architecture, or equivalent
  • MBA, PMP or technical post‑graduate degree is preferred
