About the job

In this role, you will focus on developing Responsible AI Infra at Google and will be working on full-stack infrastructure and collaborating across teams to drive fast and frictionless responsible AI journeys across Google.

As a part of the Storage and Users (SU) Ecosystem team, your focus is to provide Responsible AI (RAI) solutions including Trust and Safety (T&S) and Provenance to product teams at Google, making it a top priority effort. You will also serve the actual RAI capabilities, while the SU Ecosystem team aims to provide self-serviceable, well-lit user journeys that involve discovery and onboarding for various developers and clients of these RAI capabilities. You will have a tremendous impact on various model launches in Google DeepMind's Beyond platform, ensuring that they serve users responsibly.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $147,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Engineer the Responsible AI (RAI) serving infrastructure by providing a dedicated, low-latency RAI service for Beyond.
  • Develop APIs and underlying features for the RAI serving infra.
  • Ensure all T&S signals have defined Service Level Objectives (SLOs), proactively managing the reliability and high-availability requirements of critical RAI components.
  • Deploy the Unified Provenance Service to support Google’s compliance with various regional AI regulations across the globe, and launch Google’s proprietary SynthID watermark and industry-standard C2PA signals to indicate generative content and enhance the company’s commitment to Responsible AI.
  • Build a Content Registry to store fingerprints of generated media for tracking content origin in order to enable Google to serve user complaints’ likeness claim validation.
