- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience
- 4 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or a relevant advanced degree.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in data analytics, financial modeling, SQL, and data cleanliness/accuracy.
- Ability to work comfortably in ambiguous situations and willingness to help team members while promoting positive morale.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a strong bias toward process improvement.

As someone who knows the workings of the core Finance team inside and out, you’ll lead individual projects to transform planning, tracking and control processes. You’ll provide senior level management with insightful recommendations, planning and reporting support.
The Platforms & Devices (P&D) Central Finance team is looking for a high-caliber Strategic Financial Analyst to join a team that operates at the intersection of cutting-edge hardware, foundational software, and global scale. This is a unique opportunity to sit at the nerve center of a major business pillar, where your work directly influences the trajectory of our most ambitious products.

And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $117,000-$167,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Be closely involved in managing the P&L of a business operating at the frontier of multiple fast moving industries.
- Lead work streams for high-impact projects that drive resource allocation for the next generation of platforms and devices.
- Prepare materials for and engage with senior executives, translating complex financial data into a compelling narrative for the C-suite.
- Help bridge the gap between technical product roadmaps and financial milestones, ensuring that our innovation is backed by sustainable and strategic investment.
