We are looking for experienced and qualified Teaching and Learning Assistants to join our team! Westfield Nursery is a purpose-built Nursery located in City Walk with state-of-the-art facilities. The right candidate should meet the following requirements:

1. Must have Cache level 1, 2 or 3 depending on the position applied for
2. At least 2 years of experience working in a Nursery
3. Excellent English (writing and speaking)

Duties and responsibilities

This position involves providing both educational and emotional support for children, ensuring their well-being, and helping them grow academically and socially. Below are the key duties and responsibilities of a teaching assistant:

1. Child Care and Supervision
   1. Provide a Safe Environment: Ensure the child’s safety at all times, both inside and outside the home.
   2. Basic Care: Help with daily tasks like dressing, bathing, feeding, and changing diapers for younger children.
   3. Nap Time and Sleep Supervision: Establish and maintain a consistent sleep schedule for younger children.
2. Educational Support
   1. Skill Development: Foster cognitive, motor, language, and social skills through fun and engaging activities, including art, reading, games, or music.
   2. Promote Literacy and Numeracy: Help children develop reading and math skills, using various teaching techniques.
   3. Monitor Progress: Track the child’s academic and developmental progress, and report back to parents regularly.
3. Emotional Support and Social Development
   1. Provide Emotional Care: Offer comfort and reassurance when the child is feeling upset, stressed, or frustrated.
   2. Encourage Socialization: Facilitate playdates, interactions with peers, and participation in group activities to build social skills.
   3. Teach Conflict Resolution: Help children resolve disputes peacefully and encourage cooperative behavior.
4. Household Duties Related to Child Care
   1. Light Housekeeping: Perform tasks related to the child’s care, such as cleaning up after meals, doing the child’s laundry, and organizing toys and school materials.
5. Health and Hygiene Monitoring
   1. Monitor Health: Keep track of the child’s health, including any allergies, medications, or special needs.
   2. First Aid and Emergency Care: Be prepared to handle basic first aid and know how to respond to emergencies (e.g., minor injuries, illness, or allergic reactions).
6. Personalized Support
   1. Adapting to Individual Needs: Understand each child’s unique learning style and needs, and adjust educational activities and care accordingly.
