Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Project Leadership
    • Translate client briefs into technical solutions (AV, lighting, staging, rigging, LED, power distribution, etc.).
    • Develop technical concepts, layouts, and production strategies.
    • Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and external suppliers.
    • Oversee site inspections and technical feasibility assessments.
    • (As required) Lead end-to-end technical event project delivery.
  • Estimation & Commercial Management
    • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and quotations.
    • Conduct technical costing for labour, equipment, logistics, and subcontractors.
    • Ensure margin control and commercial viability of projects.
    • Participate in client budget discussions and value engineering.
    • Monitor cost variations and manage change orders.
  • Technical Design & Drafting Oversight
    • Produce or review technical drawings (CAD layouts, rigging plots, stage plans, power layouts).
    • Ensure compliance with venue regulations and safety standards.
    • Coordinate structural calculations when required.
    • Maintain accurate technical documentation and revisions.
  • Project Delivery | Onsite Execution & Supervision (as required)
    • Oversee installation, rehearsals, and live event execution.
    • Manage technical crews and subcontractors onsite.
    • Ensure adherence to safety standards and method statements.
    • Troubleshoot technical challenges under live-event pressure.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management
    • Act as technical lead in client meetings and presentations.
    • Provide professional technical advice and recommendations.
    • Coordinate with venues, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
    • Maintain strong client relationships to support repeat business.
  • Risk & Compliance
    • Conduct risk assessments and method statements (RAMS).
    • Ensure compliance with HSE standards and local authority regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technical Production, Event Management, or related field (preferred).
  • 5–10+ years of experience in technical event production.

Strong knowledge of:

  • Proficiency in Vectorworks.
  • Strong commercial and cost-analysis skills.
