About the job

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Measured Work functions as the binoculars for data center operations. Our mission is to obtain and interpret execution data, enabling the business to define goals and track organizational progress. We strive to answer critical questions. Can we standardize the duration for every activity on the data center floor. Can we predict headcount needs accurately. Can we define metrics that ensure visibility and accountability while promoting the adoption of best practices. We build tools that empower everyone from Vice Presidents (VPs) to technicians to interpret data for better decision-making.

As a Technical Program Manager, you will engineer systems to process, analyze, and interpret massive data sets, solving complex operational problems for Google’s cloud business. You will partner with customers to build tools that provide unparalleled insights into the data center floor.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

Responsibilities

  • Advocate a data-centric culture that embraces process excellence and leverages data-driven insights to achieve key business objectives.
  • Test the status quo by proactively identifying opportunities for innovation and implementing solutions based on data.
  • Promote clarity and focus to deliver consistent, incremental value to the organization while solving complex operational problems.
  • Drive best practices for both systems and processes to ensure data integrity, transparency, and an efficient user experience.
