Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience in program management.
- Experience in infrastructure capacity planning.
Preferred qualifications:
- 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience in data center infrastructure (e.g., compute, storage, networking), capacity/supply chain planning, Technical Infrastructure Services, Payments/Shopping Infrastructure.
- Experience in programming (e.g., scripting in SQL or SQL-like languages, general system concepts).
- Experience with infrastructure resource management.
- Excellent technical and problem-solving skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You’re equally comfortable explaining your team’s analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.
In this role, you will support commerce infrastructure growth by working with engineering and finance teams to secure capacity and investment approvals.

Responsibilities
- Own the plan of record for Commerce’s infrastructure resource needs, and articulate the needs of the product teams and financial trade-offs.
- Work cross-functionally to represent Commerce’s requirements in Google-wide infrastructure resource fulfillment and pricing policies, and manage commerce’s resource planning budget.
- Partner with the engineering team to design, build, and administer tooling to help scale the resource planning function.
- Drive process and communication cadence to foster alignment on resource health and efficiency efforts within Commerce and across partner product areas, Finance, and Engineering teams.
