Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high‑performing data architectures across cloud and hybrid environments
- Define enterprise data models, standards, and governance frameworks to ensure consistency and interoperability
- Architect modern data platforms (data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses) to support analytics, AI, and operational use cases
- Lead client engagements as a trusted advisor on data strategy, architecture, and platform design
- Translate business and policy objectives into structured data solutions and pipelines
- Establish data governance practices including data quality, lineage, cataloguing, and access control
- Design data integration strategies across multiple systems, APIs, and external data sources
- Enable AI and advanced analytics use cases by ensuring data is structured, accessible, and production‑ready
- Collaborate with engineering teams to implement pipelines, orchestration, and real‑time/streaming architectures
- Balance long‑term architecture vision with rapid delivery in dynamic environments
Qualifications
- 7+ years data architecture experience with deep Oracle and SQL Server expertise
- Informatica PowerCenter (or equivalent ETL platform)
- Change Data Capture (CDC) for incremental and near real‑time sync
- Complex source‑to‑target mapping across large schema landscapes
- Bidirectional sync with conflict resolution strategies
- Data quality profiling, validation, and reconciliation frameworks
- Data governance, lineage tracking, and metadata cataloguing
Good to Have
- Domain‑driven data modelling (database‑per‑service patterns)
- Liquibase or equivalent schema change management
- Physical schema design from logical/conceptual model
Tech Stack
- Data Platforms: Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake
- Databases: Postgres, MSSQL, MongoDB, Elasticsearch
- Processing: Spark, Python, SQL
- Cloud: Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Orchestration: Airflow, Prefect, or similar
- DevOps: CI/CD, Docker, Terraform
- Analytics & BI: Power BI, Tableau, Looker
