Responsibilities

  • Deliver training primarily in a flight simulator or aircraft in accordance with regulatory and customer requirements.
  • Conduct pre- and post-flight simulator briefings in a thorough, professional manner per CAE standards.
  • Act as SME in curriculum and courseware creation when required; may act as invigilator during examinations.
  • Maintain licenses, ratings, and currency; ensure Authority approvals are valid before training.
  • Comply with ECFT/CAE policies and with Authority-approved program regulations.
  • Conduct simulator briefings and training to maximize trainee benefit; document deviations and discuss during debriefing.
  • Review client Training and Checking Authorization forms before training; provide simulator instruction on one or more aircraft; assume 4+ hours per session in the simulator excluding briefing/debriefing.
  • Instruct classroom ground school, CBT, IPT or stand-up lectures requiring 8-10 hours of classroom time.
  • Support development and certification of training curriculum and devices (simulator, FTD, FMS training aids).
  • Aim to attain FAA/EASA ground school and simulator instructor designation within ~12 months.
  • Obtain qualifications to serve as examiner and perform examiner duties as applicable.
  • Perform Right Seat Support Duties and other required duties (training records, remedial training, track qualifications).
  • Prepare and inspect classroom facilities and equipment prior to classroom day.

Qualifications

  • Professional experience in flight simulator instruction; knowledge of aviation training standards.
  • Professional degree with broad knowledge in related disciplines; typically 8 years of related experience (as described in original).
  • Maintaining licenses, medical fitness (if applicable), and currency; ability to obtain and maintain required authorizations.
  • Ability to work in a regulated environment with compliance to ECFT/CAE policies and Authority requirements.
