Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Quantitative, Business, or in a Public Policy related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in working within strategy or sales operations groups, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • 3 years of experience working with executive stakeholders.
  • 2 years of experience developing business strategies or managing cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in managing the strategic planning cycle with cross-functional engagement and prioritization.
  • Experience working with executive teams and various stakeholders.
  • Ability to pay high attention to detail, and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent program management skills.

About the job

In this role, you will work closely with Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) executives, including the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and other StratOps leads to run strategic initiatives, and work across the team and Global Affairs function to help the team be more effective. You will help run the business cadence (budgeting, planning, reviews), run strategic projects related to roles and responsibilities and organizational design, draft and manage team materials and briefings, and communicate strategy and decision-making to the management team and other key stakeholders.

In this role, you must be an excellent verbal and written communicator with a bias to action, able to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams, and be an agile and creative problem solver. You must also demonstrate the ability to get complex things done and drive organizational-wide impact.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$205,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, resource allocation (headcount and budget) and follow through on execution of major initiatives and top-level objective and key results (OKR) in collaboration with central and cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze existing process effectiveness and efficiency, design improvements, drive stakeholder alignment and oversee implementation and measurement of operational improvements.
  • Lead and execute cross-Government Affairs and Public Policy (GAPP) special initiatives across a range of topics in partnership with cross-functional teams (e.g., Global Affairs, People Operations, Google Works, Finance) to drive GAPP operating agenda.
  • Lead on co-ordinating and developing GAPP SLT materials, and manage workstreams and AIs.
