Lab Instructor – Engineering (Mechanical / Mechatronics)

Position Summary

To provide effective instruction and assessment to Mechanical / Mechatronics Diploma level courses and to maintain HCT laboratories and workshops. The scope of work includes lecture delivery, the installation, demonstration, maintenance and trouble-shooting of equipment and facilities. This is a combined instruction and hands-on role which will have the Instructor deliver lectures and work closely with the Faculty and students in laboratories and workshops. In addition to the delivery of instructions and assessments, the Engineering Instructor set up the laboratory in preparation for experiments, and maintain supplies and documentation.

• Deliver lectures and conduct assessments for Mechanical / Mechatronics Diploma level courses.
• Install, demonstrate, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment and facilities in laboratories and workshops.
• Prepare laboratories for experiments and maintain supplies, equipment, and documentation.
• Work closely with faculty and students in laboratories and workshops to support learning outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience.
• Preference will be given to candidates with industrial experience in the relevant engineering field.
• Previous short span teaching experience is desirable.
