An established fast-growing global brokerage firm based in the UAE, offering institutional access to U.S., GCC, and emerging markets.

• Liaise with US broker/dealers to obtain timely QI-relevant information, and engage with third parties to generate accurate and timely reports that meet the IRS’s reporting requirements (eg, 1042-S and 1042)
• Review FATCA-related onboarding documentation (eg, W8) to ensure that clients and counterparties are accurately classified from a FATCA perspective, including distinguishing between treaty/non-treaty and disclosed/non-disclosed clients trading through intermediaries
• Design QI compliance and reporting workflows to address the above
• Provide FATCA-related support to Relationship Managers and Clients as required
• Facilitate the implementation of technology required to automate QI-related processes, to comply with QI’s data requirements, and to automate the filing of IRS reports (eg, 1042-S and 1042)
• Conduct periodic reviews of QI requirements, system data capture and processing and QI reporting, and provide recommendations for improvement
• Monitor QI compliance and adherence to requirements set out in the respective agreements and report to management on a periodic basis.
• Assist in QI audits (required every 3 years) performed by an independent third-party auditor, and ensure resolution of observations within agreed timelines

• Understanding of the US QI regime as applicable to overseas financial firms trading into US exchanges under an Omnibus (nominee) or fully disclosed trading arrangement
• Understanding tax requirements under FATCA and withholding taxes levied on incomes in US for different jurisdictions
• Familiarity with online brokerage services into global financial instruments for underlying clients (B2B2C) would be advantageous
• Min 5 years’ experience supporting QIs either directly or in a financial services firm
