Position Overview

A prestigious healthcare institution in Qatar is seeking a highly qualified Head of Department for Pediatrics to lead its pediatric division. The ideal candidate must be American Board Certified in Pediatrics and fluent in عربي , with a strong background in clinical leadership, multidisciplinary collaboration, and patient-centered care. This is a senior leadership role responsible for shaping pediatric services, driving clinical excellence, and mentoring the next generation of pediatricians.

المهام الأساسية

  • Lead and manage the Pediatric Department, ensuring delivery of high-quality, evidence-based care
  • Oversee clinical operations, departmental strategy, and service development
  • Supervise and support pediatric consultants, specialists, and junior staff
  • Ensure compliance with national and international clinical standards and accreditation requirements
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership on resource planning, budgeting, and quality initiatives
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning, research, and professional development
  • Engage in community outreach and patient education initiatives
  • Represent the department in internal committees and external forums

Qualifications & Experience

  • American Board Certification in Pediatrics (mandatory)
  • Minimum 10 years of clinical experience, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Fluency in Arabic and English
  • Proven experience in managing pediatric services in a tertiary or academic setting
  • Strong leadership, communication, and mentoring skills
  • Familiarity with GCC healthcare systems and cultural context is highly desirable
