About The Job

As an Investment Associate in the Expansion Investments team at Tether, you will contribute to our private equity and venture capital investments. Working closely with senior team members, you will play a vital role in the analysis, due diligence, and monitoring of potential investees, gaining hands‑on experience in deal execution and investment management within a dynamic environment.

• Deal Execution and Transaction Management Support – support the full lifecycle of investment transactions from term sheet through close, coordinating legal, financial, and strategic workstreams.
• Due Diligence – synthesize findings into investment‑grade analysis, stress‑test assumptions, identify risks, and articulate mitigation strategies.
• Investment Committee Preparation and Governance – author memoranda, model valuations, and prepare risk matrices for committee review.
• Portfolio Management and Value Creation – serve as the primary relationship owner for portfolio companies, conduct structured check‑ins, and oversee milestone tracking.
• Rise Fund Platform Development – help build and improve the investment operating infrastructure, including deal flow tracking and reporting cadences.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related field (MBA, MSc Finance preferred).
• Professional Certification: CFA charterholder or CAIA designation required or demonstrably progressing toward completion.
• Experience: 3‑5 years in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or corporate development, with a significant portion of that time spent executing and closing transactions.
• Technical & Analytical Skills: Advanced financial modeling, command of Excel and PowerPoint, familiarity with cap‑table tools (e.g., Carta), deal‑flow platforms (e.g., Affinity, Salesforce), and data‑room management.
• Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret financial data, perform valuation analyses, and evaluate investment opportunities.
• Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication in English, capable of presenting findings to senior management and committees.
• Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of venture and growth‑stage investment dynamics, especially within the financial services sector.
• Language: Full professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
