Faculty of Health Sciences – Emergency Medical Services (Spring Semester)

Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in the Paramedic program. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning-by-doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Faculty members assist with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are active participants in academic and extracurricular events at the College and within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Provide effective instruction in the Paramedic program across multiple levels within the program areas.
  • Utilize diverse learning methodologies with a learning-by-doing philosophy.
  • Contribute to curriculum development in line with accreditation and international standards.
  • Support policy development and participate in academic and extracurricular activities.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Emergency Medical Services, Paramedicine or in a relevant discipline
  • 3 years of teaching experience in Paramedic Sciences or Emergency Medical Services (EMS) within a relevant educational/clinical setting
  • 3 years of industrial experience as a Paramedic or EMT (EMT)
  • Ability to provide instruction at various levels within the program areas
  • Experience in developing course curriculum per accreditation and international standards
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact with people at all levels of the organization

Job Location: United Arab Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah)
